OF THE COUN T Y
One of our top Instagram posts was a
photo taken by @sweetannemarie at
the beginning of March at Drakes Beach
in Point Reyes National Seashore.
“While we were entering, nearby signs
alerted visitors to the dangers of
interaction with the animals,” she
reports. “The sign specifically remarked
that although elephant seals may look
slow, they can move very fast and
aggressively. We proceeded to explore
with caution and observed them for
quite a while from the rocks nearby.”
