What makes your work worthwhile?
When people come to me in pain and leave with significantly reduced pain
or no pain, there is no greater satisfaction. I’ve had more than a few patients

Insurance is a necessary evil until you suffer a loss or accident. My
agency takes a deeper look at coverage, service options and prices.
While I offer personal insurance, I have expert knowledge of the
complexities of commercial insurance. I have been in Marin for 25
years and understand the demographics and idiosyncrasies of this
beautiful and unique community.
What is your business philosophy?
The better we know you, the more we can do for you. I am always your
advocate and available to navigate the coverage for your home, auto and
business. Because I’m an agent and broker, I provide personal attention to
all my clients — in contrast to the impersonal attention you would find when
dealing with a large Internet insurance company.
What is your competitive edge?
I offer the products of a variety of insurance companies so I can shop
around for the best coverage at the best rates. I can personally speak
to underwriters who will access risks and provide solutions to clients’
sometimes complex situations.
tell me that I had literally given them their lives back. It’s why I get up and go
to work every morning.
What is your patient philosophy?
As a physician, I want patients to not only have a good result, but a good
experience. I pride myself on listening to patients’ problems very carefully
and thoughtfully as well as taking the time to answer all of their questions in
a manner in which they can understand.
What is your favorite surgical procedure?
I have a true passion for all peripheral nerve surgical procedures because
they represent the cutting edge of surgery and medicine and are very
intricate and interesting. Ultimately, they are my favorite procedures because
the results for the patients are often life changing.
From the standpoint of your work, who is your inspiration?
I’ve had many great surgical mentors to whom I will be eternally grateful.
That being said, my patients are my true inspiration. A young woman who
is now headache free recently said to me that she never would have had
the 3-month-old baby she was holding in her arms because she felt that
her severe headaches would not have allowed her to care for a young child.
Those types of memories inspire me to continue with my work.

What did you want to be when you
Born and raised in upstate New York,
my creativity was somewhat stunted.
However, an early obsession of mine
was sports. I’ve always fancied myself
a sports analyst/journalist/announcer.
As my wife says about me while we
are watching baseball or football,
“You don’t just see the home runs
or quarterback passes, you see the
athleticism of the team and their ability
to play great offense and defense.”
What makes your work worthwhile?
I love what I do. I am a people person and love interacting with all types
of clients. I try not only to educate but to infuse conversations with humor
and concern. My background was in fashion, which was seasonal and
unpredictable. Insurance is going to be around as long as there are risks
in our lives.
